We have motivation, friends, and diplomacy: Zelenskyy expects victory over Russia
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says Ukraine has everything to defeat Russia and he expects it this year
At his press conference dedicated to the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Zelenskyy noted that Ukrainians and partners are united for the sake of Ukraine's victory. According to him, if everyone keeps their words and deadlines, if everyone fulfills their tasks and does their important 'homework', victory will inevitably come.
“I am confident that we will win. Yes, I really want it to happen this year. We have everything for this: motivation, confidence, friends, and diplomacy,” Zelenskyy said.
He emphasized that Ukraine and its partner countries were able to unite against this invasion. In his opinion, no country could have withstood such an aggressive war on its own.
“And Ukraine is not standing alone. Our friends are helping us, for the sake of common values, so that this war does not go further, so that this aggression does not go further,” the president of Ukraine noted.
Zelenskyy added that Ukraine understands what Russia wants. He emphasized that everyone must now focus and work in their place.
“It is important for each of us to focus and for everyone to work in their place. And that's it, then there will be a victory. Because we have the truth on our side,” Zelenskyy said.
