"We have a clear plan": Zelensky held a meeting on the post-war reconstruction of the country
On April 18, President of Ukraine spoke about plan for restoration of Ukraine after the war at a meeting with Head of the Office, Deputy Heads of the Office, Prime Minister and leadership of the relevant committees of Ukrainian parliament.
This was reported on a website of Office of the President of Ukraine.
According to Denis Shmygal, post-war reconstruction plan consists of several parts and envisages restoration of Ukraine according to new principles using all available resources and opportunities.
In particular, they plan to cover material damage caused by the war, restore destroyed infrastructure and modernize Ukrainian economy. A number of economic reforms have also been planned.
At the meeting, participants also discussed course of European integration and obtaining Ukraine's candidate status for accession to European Union.
On April 16, during a video address, Zelensky spoke about plans to rebuild Ukrainian cities. President noted that the cities will be rebuilt taking into account outdated problems that existed. According to the plan, housing should be provided to all IDPs, and those who stood in line for housing.
