"We f****d up": Prigozhin says Russia failed with Ukraine’s "demilitarization" and "denazification"
Yevgeny Prigozhin, PMC Wagner founder, admitted that Russia had failed with "demilitarization" and "denazification" deemed to be the main tasks of the war against Ukraine
Prigozhin told about this in an interview with one of the Russian propagandists.
"We came aggressively, stomping around the territory, searching for Nazis. While on this hunt, we thrashed anyone we could find. Then we made our way to Kyiv, and, as we say it in Russian, we f****d up, and then left. Next, we headed to Kherson, f****d up, and left. After that, it was Izium, Chervonyi Lyman. Things didn't go as planned for us," Prigozhin stated.
According to Prigozhin, instead of demilitarizing Ukraine, Russia inadvertently aided in its militarization.
"At the start of the 'special operation,' Ukraine had around 500 tanks, but now they have 5,000 tanks. Initially, they had 20,000 capable fighters, but now they have 400,000 skilled combatants. So, how did we achieve demilitarization? It appears we unintentionally militarized them. Speaking from my personal experience, having fought in numerous places against various opponents, I can say that the Ukrainians now have one of the strongest armies. They have achieved a high level of organization, training, and intelligence," Prigozhin remarked.
He also admitted that another objective announced by Vladimir Putin at the start of the war against Ukraine, denazification, has also failed.
"Our aim was to denazify Ukraine, but instead, we have propelled Ukraine into global recognition. They are like the Greeks or the Romans during their times... We have unintentionally legitimized Ukraine, and now everyone knows about it," Prigozhin emphasized.
