"We are preparing more unpleasant surprises for the aggressor": Shmyhal announces supply of new weapons to Ukrainian Armed Forces
The Armed Forces will receive additional weapons from the Czech Republic.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced this at a joint briefing with Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala on October 31 in Kyiv.
"Military-technical cooperation between our states is gaining new momentum. Self-propelled howitzers, tanks, BMPs and other assistance are already helping the Ukrainian army to liberate lands, but we are not stopping there and are preparing more unpleasant surprises for the aggressor," said Shmyhal.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers announced that the Czech government supported the establishment of the International Tribunal to condemn the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
"We have received clear signals of support from our Czech colleagues in various areas. In particular, at the state level, the Czech Republic has developed a plan to help Ukraine. It provides support in the amount of more than 20 million euros annually during 2023-2025," Shmyhal also emphasized.
During the meeting with the Czech government officials, the issue of sanctions pressure on Russia and confiscation of Russian assets was also raised. Shmyhal thanked the Czech government for supporting the allocation of these funds to compensate for Ukraine's losses.
In the morning, just as Fiala arrived in Kyiv, the occupiers launched a massive rocket attack on Ukraine. According to the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, 18 objects in 10 regions were damaged by Russian missiles and drones. The police specified that 13 people were injured.
