Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has issued a statement on the invasion of Israel by Hamas militants on 7 October 2023. He emphasised that his country will win

The Times of Israel reports this with reference to the Prime Minister's statement.
"Citizens of Israel, we are at war. And we will win," Netanyahu said.
According to him, the enemy will pay a price that he has "never known before".
According to the latest information, hundreds people are wounded in unprecedented infiltration from Gaza, at least 40 are killed. Many gunmen are attacking homes in south as thousands of projectiles have been fired.
At the same time, the chief spokesman for the Israeli Defence Forces, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, says that Israel is at war: "The IDF has declared martial law. We are in a state of war."
He emphasised that the IDF is flooding the territory with troops, while Israel is focusing on fighting on the Gaza border.

On the morning of Saturday, 7 October, a massive rocket attack was launched from the Gaza Strip on central and southern Israel, resulting in casualties.
