Now the US has said Poland may not have anything to worry about just yet, Sky News reports.
John Kirby, director of strategic communications for the National Security Council, claims
that the US is not aware of "any specific threat" that Wagner forces pose to Poland or any other NATO member state.
Since Yevgeny Prigozhin, the chief of the mercenary Wagner Group, stated that he was training troops in Belarus two weeks ago, Poland has been continuously responding to the presence of Wagner troops there.
Poland ordered 1,000 soldiers last week to move toward its 250-mile border with Belarus.
In response to the Wagner threat, Latvia and Lithuania joined Poland in threatening to close their borders with Belarus.
