War was inevitable. Russia started preparing for aggression in 2007 – Budanov

Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, made the statement in an interview with Dmytro Komarov.

"We need to analyze when Russia started preparing for such actions. And this is 2007. Russia began actively preparing for aggression in 2007. In 2014, they took advantage of a convenient moment. And then you saw how everything unrevealed," he said.

Budanov emphasized that if the events of 2014 had not happened, nothing would have changed.

"The war between us was inevitable. We know for sure that they started preparations in 2007, our archives clearly show this," he added.
