Wagner PMC may attack Ukraine from Belarus - General the Lord Dannatt
General and former British Army Chief of the General Staff Richard Dannatt believes that Yevgeny Prigozhin and the Wagner PMC could attack Ukraine from Belarus
This is reported by SkyNews.
“The fact that he's gone to Belarus is a matter of some concern,” said the former British Army chief of general staff.
Dannatt notes that if Prigozhin was able to retain an effective fighting force around him, he could pose a threat to Ukraine, as he could use it to try to recapture Kyiv.
“The aftershocks of yesterday will reverberate for quite some time.”
Nevertheless, he noted that the Russian army has been significantly weakened by the mutiny that has taken place.
“Putin is definitely much diminished. The Russian military... is clearly in some disarray,” added Lord Dannatt.
