Wagner PMC is behind unrest in northern Kosovo - military expert Musienko

Oleksandr Musienko, director of the Center for Military Legal Studies, believes that Russia was trying to divert attention from the war in Ukraine by using the unrest in Kosovo

He said this on Espreso TV.

“The situation in Kosovo is tense. The only one interested in the opening of the Balkan front is Russia. The Russian Federation is a common enemy for both Ukrainians and many in the Balkans, with the exception of a certain part of the Serbs. The terrorist Wagner PMC is behind the riots in northern Kosovo, where NATO peacekeepers were wounded. Most likely, they were sent to Kosovo from Serbia, where they were recruited,” Musienko said.

According to the military expert, Russia was trying to divert attention from the war in Ukraine by using the unrest in Kosovo.

“Serbia and Kosovo will be ready for a dialogue, and the West supports this. There is a single goal - to accept Serbia into the EU, and then to accept Kosovo. And this means that Russia's influence in the Balkans will decrease. With these unrests in Kosovo, Russia tried to divert attention from the war in Ukraine. To shift the focus away from the terror that Russians are waging against Ukraine, but they will not succeed. It is predicted that the tension in northern Kosovo will soon subside,” Musienko added.
