Wagner PMC fighters illegally deport 4 families with children from Bakhmut
Ukrainian prosecutors have recorded a crime committed by Wagner mercenaries together with their leader, who deported 4 Ukrainian families with children from Bakhmut, Donetsk region
The Prosecutor General's Office reported the information.
While monitoring the media and pro-Russian telegram channels, law enforcement officers found a video in which Wagner mercenaries, led by their leader, were taking away Ukrainian children.
The event most probably took place on April 16, 2023. The perpetrators illegally deported 2 families with 2 children from the city of Bakhmut, Donetsk region.
There is also another video where a Wagner fighter talks to one of these families and a child in a temporary detention center.
On April 17 to 18, 2 more families with young children were taken from Bakhmut by armed Wagner fighters in an unknown direction.
In total, at least 3 boys and 1 girl are known to have been illegally deported.
"Juvenile prosecutors of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office have launched a pre-trial investigation into violations of the laws and customs of war," the press service writes.
The prosecutor's office is establishing the circumstances and searching for the Ukrainian children.
