Zelenskyy: Ukraine has drones capable of flying 2,000–3,000 km
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that despite Ukraine not having missiles, the country has drones capable of reaching distances of 2,000–3,000 km
He said this during the general debates of the UN General Assembly.
The president of Ukraine emphasized the significant role that drones play in the war.
“Ten years ago, no one could have imagined that drones would appear that can create dead zones tens of kilometers wide. Simple drones, mass-produced and not equipped with artificial intelligence,” Zelenskyy noted.
He declared that Ukraine currently has drones capable of covering long distances.
“We don’t have such long and heavy missiles that dictators like to showcase at parades. But we have drones that can fly 2,000–3,000 kilometers. We simply had no other choice — we had to protect our lives.
Control over the sea used to depend on large fleets. Today, thanks to naval drones, we managed to force Russia to withdraw the remnants of its fleet into distant bays. Russia left us no other choice,” Zelenskyy said.
