Zelenskyy names number of air defense systems Ukraine needs
Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says that 25 Patriot systems are needed to fully protect Ukraine from Russian attacks

He said this in an interview with the We are Ukraine channel.
"In order to completely cover Ukraine, it is desirable for Ukraine to have 25 Patriot systems with 6-8 batteries each," Zelenskyy emphasized.
He noted that all Ukrainian partners are aware of this, and "even know the points where the corresponding systems should be placed."
According to the president, it is also possible to deploy analogs of Patriot systems.
"Yes, it looks like a large number, but the territory of Ukraine is very large. And so, to completely cover our country, even those regions where no or almost no aircraft arrive... we need 25 Patriot systems in the current structure of Ukraine's air defense with all the other systems we have," the head of state stated.
- On April 4, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said in Brussels that Germany had initiated a search for affordable Patriot air defense systems for Kyiv.
