Ukraine strikes deal with U.S. companies for joint drone production — Zelenskyy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this during his visit to Denmark.

Zelenskyy noted that, earlier in the morning during his visit to Denmark, a document was signed regarding the joint production of drones with American companies.

“This is co-production between Ukraine and the United States, involving several companies. We are focusing, first and foremost, on various types of drones. But most importantly: this year – hundreds of thousands, and next year – there will be an increase,” the president said.

“The main component is interceptor drones, which have already proven themselves in Ukraine; we have tested drones from several companies. Now, we have finally signed a serious product, a serious contract. We are counting on shooting down a large number of Shaheds,” he added.

Zelenskyy also mentioned that there is an agreement for some Ukrainian manufacturers to have access to these technologies.

The president specified that the American company Swift Beat is among those involved. He also clarified the types of drones to be produced as part of the cooperation: interceptor drones for shooting down enemy UAVs and missiles, quadcopters for reconnaissance and fire adjustment, as well as strike UAVs for deep strikes behind enemy lines.

• Additionally, in recent days, Denmark’s Defense Minister stated that as early as autumn 2025, the production of Ukrainian weapons could begin in Denmark.
