He stated this in an interview with Newsmax.

In Zelenskyy's opinion, U.S. President Donald Trump is capable of ending the war in Ukraine, and Europe can help, if Trump allows them to do so.

"I think they (the Russian army) should withdraw at least to the line of the full-scale invasion. Otherwise, everyone will say that this was Biden's line, and this is Trump's line. I think he needs success, and we need success, and we trust him. I hope he will be on our side," said the president.

Zelenskyy also emphasized that Ukraine will not agree to any negotiations in which it is not involved.

  • Earlier, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine would not agree to peace agreements with Russia made without its participation, as everyone would "lose" from this.
