President Zelenskyy replaces top officials

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has replaced the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service

This is stated in the decrees published on the website of the Presidential Office.

Presidential Decree No. 186/2024 on the dismissal of Oleksiy Danilov from the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council appeared on the website on the afternoon of March 26.

"To dismiss Danilov Oleksiy Myacheslavovych from the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine," the statement reads. 

Oleksiy Danilov has been the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council since October 2019. 

Decree No. 188/2024 on the appointment of a new Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council was also published on the official website of the President.

"To appoint Oleksandr Valeriyovych Lytvynenko as Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine," the decree reads. 

Prior to this appointment, Oleksandr Lytvynenko was the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine from July 2021. Prior to that, he headed the National Institute for Strategic Studies. From April 2014 to August 2019, he was Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

By Decree #189/2024, the President of Ukraine appointed Oleh Ivashchenko as the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service: "To appoint Ivashchenko Oleh Ivanovych as the Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine".

There is no public information about Oleh Ivashchenko.
