President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared this information on October 6.
He noted that on the night of October 6, Ukrainian air defenses intercepted more than 50 Shahed drones across several regions, including Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Chernihiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Zaporizhzhia, Zhytomyr, and Kharkiv.
Zelenskyy emphasized that this ongoing aerial terror can be stopped through unity among partners and by providing long-range capabilities, which will help save the lives of Ukrainians.
"Next week, during the Ramstein meeting, we will continue to collaborate with our partners on this," he added.
- On the night of October 5, Russia activated tactical aviation. Explosions were heard in the Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv regions. In particular, one of the infrastructure facilities was hit in Mykolaiv.
