Ukrainian developers have created the Himera radio station, which cannot be jammed by enemy electronic warfare. This was announced by Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.
"The enemy is constantly using electronic warfare (EW) to counter the Ukrainian Defense Forces. To ensure that our military are always in touch and can effectively coordinate the work of their units, Ukrainian developers have created the Himera radio station. This is a unique technology that works under enemy electronic warfare. The Russians cannot block the radio's signals and decrypt it. The development holds a charge for up to 4 days," he said.
According to him, the radio can be integrated into a situational awareness system or used as a GPS beacon to search for and evacuate soldiers. The radio system can be controlled simply through a phone app.

"I believe that soon there will be even more of these radios at the front. Himera became the best defense-tech startup at IT Arena 2023 and received USD 10,000 to scale and develop the product," he added.
At a meeting on October 10, Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision to simplify the import of raw materials for the production of ammunition and UAV warheads. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"The government has simplified the import of drones as much as possible. We have expanded the list of military and dual-use goods that can be imported without the permission of the State Export Control Service. We have removed bureaucratic obstacles to the procurement of Ukrainian drones," he said.
According to him, a separate decree also simplified the import of raw materials for the production of ammunition and combat parts for UAVs.
"This will meet our needs and allow us to increase the production of drones," Shmyhal said.
"This year, production has already increased a hundredfold, and will grow even more," he added.
The German government ordered Rheinmetall to supply Ukraine with over 150,000 artillery shells.

Rheinmetall received an order from its Spanish subsidiary, Rheinmetall Expal Munitions, for more than 100,000 155mm shells and additional DM 121 burst shells. It's mentioned that Ukraine will receive "several tens of thousands" of these shells in 2023, with the rest arriving in 2024. The total cost of the order is in the "hundreds of millions of euros."
