The 3rd Assault Brigade pushed Russian forces back 1.8 km near Bakhmut

Overnight, the 3rd Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces pushed Russian troops back 1.8 km along the frontline and 1.2 km inland near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region.

This was reported by the unit's press service.

“As a result of the offensive actions of the 2nd Assault Battalion, units of the 57th Brigade of the Russian Federation and the Storm Z prisoner detachments suffered significant losses: about 30 killed and 40 wounded Russians,” the statement says.

In addition, Ukrainian defenders destroyed enemy munitions depots and Russian equipment, including infantry vehicles, tanks, and artillery.

In the last day alone, the assault brigade drove the Russians back from the territories in the Donetsk region, 1.8 km along and 1.2 km deep into the frontline.

UN ready to evacuate residents from Dnipro's left bank in the Kherson region

On Thursday, June 8, Ukraine and the UN agreed to organize teams to evacuate civilians from the occupied left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region as soon as Russia grants access.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry's statement says this.

Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and UN Resident Coordinator Denise Brown have agreed to form UN teams to provide humanitarian assistance and evacuate people in the affected occupied territories on the left bank of the Dnipro River. This will be done immediately after receiving access and security guarantees from the Russian Federation.

The Yellow Ribbon Movement called on the partisans to organize a new action on the Day of the Russian Federation

On Thursday, June 8, the Yellow Ribbon Movement launched a new Burn Russian campaign to mark the Day of the Russian Federation to 'welcome' invading Russian forces on Ukrainian soil.

“After the Russian troops blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, we all feel anger and rage, which we can and should transform into active steps,” said activist Alex in a video.

The movement calls for burning their flags, symbols, newspapers, and products on June 12, Russia Day: “It is necessary to show a mass protest.”

The Yellow Ribbon activist also addressed the Russian troops in the Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.

“The Ukrainian people's genocide, repression, ecocide, for which you will majestically face justice in court, will not intimidate us. Because we will be free, and you will be in The Hague!” the activist emphasized.

National Council revokes licenses of pro-Russian TV channels of Medvedchuk, Shufrich and Muraiev

The National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting revoked the licenses of Nash, Maxi TV, 112, NewsOne, ZIK, and UkrLive channels.

The regulator made the decision at a meeting on June 8, Detector Media reports.

All of these channels and their legal entities (New Communications TV and Radio Company, 112 TV and Radio Company, News 24 Hours, Time Media, Teleradioprostir, NASH 365, and Nasha Praha) are on the sanctions lists.

According to Oleh Chernysh, deputy chairman of the National Council, Article 50 (9) of the Media Law gives the regulator the power to revoke or suspend licenses of companies that are under sanctions.

“There are systematic violations, so the draft decision proposes revocation of licenses rather than suspension,” he said.

Ukrainian aviation launched 18 strikes against Russian forces

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this.

Over the past day, the Defense Forces' aviation launched 18 strikes on the Russian military positions and 2 on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.

Over the course of the day, missile and artillery units struck 5 control points, 6 manpower concentration areas, 2 anti-aircraft missile systems, 8 artillery units at firing positions, as well as 2 other important enemy targets.
