Ukrainian marines targeted an enemy infantry fighting vehicle and neutralized more than two dozen soldiers in one day   

Military units and subunits of the Naval Infantry Command of the Ukrainian Navy continued to perform tasks aimed at repulsing the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. On April 18, the marines targeted an infantry fighting vehicle and neutralized 7 Russian soldiers. This was reported by the official Marine Corps Command.

The losses of the Russian soldiers were also caused by artillerymen who fired on the aggressor. It is known that 17 soldiers were destroyed.

Patriot air defense systems arrived in Ukraine

Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said that Patriot air defense systems had arrived in Ukraine. 

"Today, our beautiful Ukrainian sky becomes more secure because Patriot air defense systems have arrived in Ukraine. Our air defenders have mastered them as fast as they could," Reznikov wrote.

He thanked US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren and the American, German and Dutch people. 

"Patriots for patriots. Do you know how to visualize a dream? We must tell about it to the world and give it life! This is exactly what happened with the Patriots, even before the large-scale war, even before my appointment to the most important position of my life at the most important time of my life," Reznikov emphasized. 

Ukrainian air defense targeted enemy drones over Bakhmut

Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed Russian Orlan and ZALA drones over Bakhmut. This was reported by the Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.

"Last night, in addition to the occupier's manpower and equipment, air defense units also managed to destroy 2 aggressor UAVs: Orlan and ZALA. Bakhmut is still standing," Syrskyi wrote.

He also reminded that the Bakhmut direction remains the epicenter of the Russian offensive. The enemy is concentrating the largest number of its forces in Bakhmut and dreaming of taking the city completely under its control.

Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 70-80% of Russia's elite troops

Ukrainian General Mykola Malomuzh stated this on the Espreso TV channel. According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have weakened the main professional forces of the Russian army, but the enemy should not be underestimated.

"The personnel of the elite troops of the Russian army have been destroyed by 70-80%. However, the enemy should never be underestimated. The Russians still have the forces and means. That is why we take into account not only the priority areas identified by the Russians. We will use all means in all directions to liberate our entire territory," he added.

Ukrainian Armed Forces target two enemy ammunition depots

Over the past day, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out seven strikes on the areas of concentration of the Russian troops, and units of missile troops and artillery struck two areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, as well as two enemy ammunition depots. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Over the last day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled more than 40 enemy attacks in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Maryinka sectors. The fiercest fighting is taking place for Bakhmut and Maryinka.
