A unique surgery for a child in Eastern Europe was performed in Lviv
For the first time in Eastern Europe, a one-year-old child was operated on using a Da Vinci robot at St. Nicholas Children's Hospital in Lviv.
According to the First Medical Association of Lviv, Yaroslav from the Vinnytsia region is only a year and 4 months old. The boy has a congenital anomaly of the right kidney.
Since the patient is still very young, the doctors decided to operate on him using a Da Vinci robot to make it easier for him to undergo surgery and recover faster.
