Ukrainian border guards destroy two groups of Wagner mercenaries near Bakhmut

Ukrainian border guards repelled enemy assaults in Bakhmut, Donetsk region, and neutralized two groups of Wagner soldiers, the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service's press service reported.

“The fortress city of Bakhmut together with the State Border Guard Service fighters is withstanding enemy attacks. One attack was repelled by our mortar launchers using aerial reconnaissance coordinates. Grenade launchers and small arms helped to deal with another group of the Wagner Group's mercenaries in close combat,” the report says.

A unique surgery for a child in Eastern Europe was performed in Lviv

For the first time in Eastern Europe, a one-year-old child was operated on using a Da Vinci robot at St. Nicholas Children's Hospital in Lviv.

According to the First Medical Association of Lviv, Yaroslav from the Vinnytsia region is only a year and 4 months old. The boy has a congenital anomaly of the right kidney.

Since the patient is still very young, the doctors decided to operate on him using a Da Vinci robot to make it easier for him to undergo surgery and recover faster. This modern robotic system allows for minimally invasive surgery without a large incision, which is less traumatic and minimizes blood loss.

Ukraine completes restoration of power transmission line to Poland

Ukraine is preparing to launch an overhead line that will connect with European power systems through Poland. This line has been out of service since 1991, but once restored, it will be possible to import and export electricity to the EU.

“This way we are expanding our capabilities and strengthening Ukraine's connection with the European energy system. This is extremely important in the context of Russia's targeted shelling of our energy infrastructure,” Petro Kotin, President of Energoatom, said.

It is expected that this power line will start operating in April.

North Macedonia to hand over Mi-24 attack aircraft to Ukraine

The Macedonian government has approved a decision to donate helicopters to Ukraine. According to Focus, the supply of 12 Mi-24 helicopters is planned, but the government's announcement does not specify the type or number of helicopters.

“The government of the Republic of North Macedonia reviewed and adopted the agreed text of the Protocol on the Donation of Aircraft between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine,” the message says.

Earlier, the head of the Macedonian Ministry of Defense, Slavjanka Petrovska, voiced her intention to deliver Mi-24 helicopters to Ukraine, which Skopje purchased from Kyiv in 2001.
