US House of Representatives Committee Supports Draft Law on Transfer of Russian Assets to Ukraine.

This is really good news. Yes, this is the first step, far from being completed, but it is the way to go.

The US House of Representatives Committee has supported a draft law on the transfer of Russian assets to Ukraine.

According to Congressman Michael McCaul, the draft law

- requires the Biden administration to transfer frozen Russian sovereign assets to Kyiv;

- makes it impossible to return Russian assets to the Kremlin until Russia pays compensation to Ukraine.

What does this mean? Next year is the year of elections not only in the US and the EU, but also in 46 other countries - our allies!

“Elections are always about your own voters and spending on election promises, not about money for a distant Ukraine. Unfortunately.”

Therefore, we must intensify the search for funds that will not raise objections. These are a total of $300 billion of Russian assets abroad.

This is an absolutely legal way to get the money that Russia should compensate Ukraine for all the destruction. Russian money. And not only in the United States but also in Europe. The money that rightfully belongs to Ukrainians for the crimes committed by Russia, although not all of those crimes can be compensated for with money…

But money is important for us now to survive. It is the money we use to buy and manufacture weapons. Furthermore, money is the blood of the economy. It is extremely bleeding, and for recovery and reconstruction, flooding the economy with money is the number one condition.

The European 50 billion euros by 2028 is very cool, but the level of destruction and our needs are much greater.

Therefore, the $140 billion of Russian assets seized in the EU should become a Ukrainian resource for rebuilding and building European standards for full accession to the EU.

All Ukrainian diplomacy and the entire political community should work for this. All Ukrainian friends and lobbyists should be involved. Because it is only fair.
