The US Treasury has announced that it will apply restrictions and may impose sanctions against those who help the Russian Federation with weapons and components
US Deputy Finance Minister Wally Adeyemo stated this on October 14, Ukrinform cites.
During a meeting with countries that have imposed economic restrictions against the Russian Federation, Adeyemo noted that the US is also ready to impose restrictions and sanctions against individuals and legal entities, as well as countries that provide Russia with ammunition or in any way support its military-industrial complex.
"Today, the US Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued guidance explaining that we are ready and able to impose sanctions against individuals, companies or countries that supply Russia with munitions or support the Russian military-industrial complex," he said.
Also, according to him, OFAC and the Bureau of Industry and Security of the US Department of Commerce will issue a joint warning on October 14, indicating "actions against Russia's military-industrial complex, as well as risks for those who provide material support for the Russian invasion of Ukraine."
Adeyemo emphasized that the sanctions and restrictions imposed by Western countries have already affected the development of events taking place on the battlefield in Ukraine.
