The chair of the Bundestag's defense committee, Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, has confirmed that the US supports Germany's transfer of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine

Strack-Zimmermann wrote about this on Twitter.

According to her, the transfer of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine was confirmed during discussions in the State Department, Congress and the Senate when she visited Washington.

“Our partners expect Germany to fulfill its obligations. We must not leave Ukraine. You need tanks,” Strack-Zimmermann tweeted.

It is known that only from the stocks of the manufacturers Rheinmetall and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, Germany could provide 80 units in the shortest possible time. Another 30 units will be used in the combat training center of the Bundeswehr to represent enemy tanks.
