U.S. special representative for Iran says Tehran supplies Russia with drones already during war
The US denied Iran's statements about transfer of "a small number of drones" to Russia by February 24. Russia received dozens of Iranian drones only in the summer of 2022
Robert Malley, the US special representative for Iran, reports on Twitter.
"They transferred dozens just this summer & have military personnel in occupied Ukraine helping Russia use them against Ukrainian civilians", he emphasized.
Thus, Tehran's recent statement that it provided "a limited number of drones to Russia a few months before the start of war in Ukraine" is not true.

On November 5, Iran admitted for the first time that it had supplied Russia with drones. At the same time, head of Iranian Foreign Ministry claimed that Tehran allegedly did not know about the use of drones against Ukraine.

On November 6, the Institute for the Study of War suggested that in exchange for supply of kamikaze drones, Iran would ask Russia for help with its nuclear program, thereby exploiting its dependence.
