The expert highlighted that there may be another game in play, such as exchanging F-16s for reforms in the legal and anti-corruption systems, among other things. As a result, it is unclear what negotiations are occurring between the American government and the Ukrainian president's administration regarding their support.
The USA certainly has certain demands for Ukraine as they will not want to waste taxpayers' money, according to the expert. The United States expects Ukraine to understand that becoming part of the West means acting in the interests of the West, rather than doing whatever they want and requesting more resources, he said.
