New US sanctions against Russia target 250 companies, 23 individuals

The sanctions were imposed not only against Russians, but also against some citizens of Pakistan, China, Turkey, South Korea; companies from the UAE and China, as well as those located on the occupied Crimean Peninsula in Sevastopol. Suppliers from Singapore, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, and Switzerland are also targeted.In total, the list includes 250 companies, 23 people, and 3 vessels - Arkady Chernyshev, Captain Yakubovich, and Maria.
- On December 11, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy began a visit to Washington and meets with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
- He also met with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva and World Bank President Ajay Banga. During the meeting, they approved a $900 million tranche for Ukraine.
- Later, he met with the heads of US defense companies to discuss joint weapons production.
- On December 12, Zelenskyy arrived at the United States Congress, where he has several meetings.
