CBS News reports this with reference to statements by US officials.
“A US official told CBS News that Ukrainian forces have made it through a Russian minefield north of Tokmak and are now engaging with the first line of Russian defenses holding the city,” the publication writes.
According to the media outlet, recapturing cities like Tokmak and then advancing to Melitopol will be a difficult task for the Ukrainian counteroffensive.
