US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink has visited the "I - Mariupol" center in Kyiv and accused Russia of "destroying one of the most promising cities of Ukraine".

This was reported by the press service of the US Embassy in Ukraine on Facebook.

"Russia brutally and heartlessly destroyed one of the most promising cities of Ukraine, killing, detaining and forcibly deporting countless thousands of people. It is impossible to comprehend all the horror that the people of Mariupol experienced, what misappropriation and destruction, which should have no place in our world, they experienced." - said Bridget Brink.

The embassy added that Mariupol is also a center of extraordinary bravery and resilience.

It is known that the center of comprehensive support for displaced persons "I - Mariupol" opened in Kyiv at the end of spring - on May 26. It is located on Antonovycha street,39. This is the fourth "I-Mariupol" center. Such hubs also operate in Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro and Vinnytsia. Thousands of Mariupol residents will receive help - from humanitarian support to psychological counseling.
