The press service said that Guterres, while handing over the letter, expressed concern to Lavrov about the obstacles that the Joint Coordination Center has recently faced in its daily activities.
Guterres also handed him a letter addressed to Putin, which outlined proposals for further actions aimed at improving and expanding the "grain deal" in line with "the positions recently expressed by the parties and the risks posed by global food insecurity."
The day before, the Russian Defense Ministry accused Ukraine of violating the grain deal, saying that Ukrainian drones had allegedly attacked Sevastopol using grain corridors.
On March 14, the Russian Foreign Ministry proposed extending the grain deal for 60 days. In turn, Ukraine's Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov said that Russia's proposal to extend the grain deal does not comply with the signed agreements, which provide for an extension of at least 120 days.
