This was stated by the Organization's Deputy Secretary General for Political Affairs, Rosemarie Di Carlo, at a meeting of the UN Security Council on Wednesday.
"The head of the mission, General Carlos Alberto de Santos Cruz, is traveling with a team of senior officials and experts. The mission must carry out its mission without any hindrance, with full access to people, places and evidence," Di Carlo said.
She noted the "constructive approach and preparation for this mission" on the part of Ukraine and Russia, and added that the UN is counting on their further assistance.
