Ukrainians deported from occupation towards Zaporizhzhia disappear near Vasylivka

Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov said that residents of the occupied territories deported by the invaders to Zaporizhzhia disappear without any trace in Vasylivka

Ivan Fedorov wrote about this on Telegram.

Mayor reminded that Russian invading forces did not allow Ukrainians to leave occupied territories, corridor ceased to be accessible from December 15.

"Russian occupying forces said that their 'New Year's vacation' will continue until January 15. However, more than a month has passed, and Russians have not rested - the exit is still closed," he wrote.

Instead, Russians allowed children, women and the elderly to walk 10 km of the evacuation corridor.

"But there are nuances here as well. Ukrainians deported by Russians from occupation towards Zaporizhzhia disappear without any trace. They are kicked out of their homes with almost no belongings, in only slippers and forced to reach through the "gray zone" on foot. Boasting about expulsion of "saboteurs" in videos for Russian propaganda mass media," Ivan Fedorov stressed.

He added that people do not reach the crossing: Ukrainians disappear on the way to Zaporizhzhia: "where Ukrainians actually send remains unknown."
