RBC-Ukraine and hromadske reported the information, citing intelligence sources.
"Russian officials report that the attack allegedly "slightly damaged the roof". But, obviously, this is not true. It was a direct hit," the source said.
According to the outlet, the operation was organized by the General Intelligence Directorate. However, Ukraine’s military intelligence neither confirms nor denies its involvement.
The source did not provide the media with details about possible Russian losses as a result of the attack.
Earlier, the governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, reported the UAV strike.
According to him, the administrative building hit by the UAV is located in the central district of the city.
The regional governor says the roof was "slightly" damaged as a result of the attack. No details of the attack are available yet.
Residents of the city reported loud sounds of explosions.
Notably, September 24 is the day of the founding of the city of Kursk.
