Ukrainian special forces coordinated one of strikes on Russian airfield

Ukrainian special forces allegedly coordinated one of the drone strikes launched from Ukrainian territory on Russian airports.

This is reported by the New York Times.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry and a high-ranking Ukrainian official, who asked to remain anonymous, the drones that caused explosions at Russian airports on December 5, were released from Ukrainian territory. It is noted that one of the strikes was directed by one of the special forces. He was near the base and helped direct the UAV to the target.

"The strikes signaled a new willingness by Kyiv to take the fight to bases in the heart of Russia, raising the stakes in the war, and demonstrated for the first time Ukraine’s ability to attack at such long distances," the New York Times writes.

At the same time, the Ukrainian government refused to claim responsibility for the explosions at Russian airports.
