Ukrainian soldiers repel more than 60 Russian attacks – General Staff

Russia is now focusing on offensive operations in Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Vuhledar directions.

Russia continues to wage a full-scale war against Ukraine. It is now focusing on offensive operations in Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Vuhledar directions. Yesterday, Ukrainian soldiers repelled more than 60 enemy attacks in these areas. At the same time, the enemy launched 8 missile strikes, 32 air strikes, and 85 MLRS attacks. The threat of further missile strikes remains throughout Ukraine.

Shelling of Ukraine

On the northern and northeastern border with Belarus and Russia, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.

Russian troops shelled with mortars and artillery 2 settlements in the Chernihiv region and 7 in the Sumy region. More than 6 districts in the Kharkiv region were also affected. 

In Kupiansk and Lyman directions, Russian troops launched unsuccessful offensives near Makiivka, Ploschanka, Kreminna, Dibrova and Bilohorivka. They shelled more than 12 settlements in Kharkiv, Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Berkhivka, Yahidne and Bakhmut in Donetsk region. More than 13 settlements came under fire.

In Avdiivka and Vuhledar directions, unsuccessful Russian offensives were registered in the direction of Kamianka, Krasnohorivka and Marinka in Donetsk region. More than 13 settlements came under artillery fire.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, over 20 settlements in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions suffered Russian shelling. 

In the Kherson direction, in total, more than 25 settlements suffered attacks.

Russians restrict civilian movement in the temporarily occupied territories

Russia is restricting the movement of the civilian population in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region. In Promin, citizens are only allowed to enter the town with local registration and with a special pass.

Ukrainian aviation striked Russian military position 4 times

During the past day, Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 12 UAVs, launched by the enemy.

"11 Iranian attack UAVs of the Shahed-136 type and 1 of the Zala type. Our aviation made 4 strikes on Russian military positions. Missile and artillery units hit one control point, two personnel positions and two positions of anti-aircraft defense," the message says.
