Ukrainian soldiers liberate Zolota Balka in Kherson region - media
Ukraine's Armed Forces have liberated the village of Zolota Balka, Novovorontsovka district, Kherson region, from the invading Russian forces.
Dmytro Burlai, a deputy of the Novovorontsovka Council, reported about this.
On Facebook, Burlai published a video where the Ukrainian defender is holding the Ukrainian flag.
"I'm not hinting at anything, just today in the village of Zolota Balka," the deputy signed.
Deputy of the Kherson Regional Council Serhii Khlan spoke about the de-occupation of the region during the briefing.
"Officially, we can only talk about the liberation of Arkhangelsk and Myroliubivka. They were liberated a few days ago, but we spoke about it only yesterday. There is already confidence that all enemy counterattacks in these settlements will be repelled. Also, a photo from Osokorivka, in which the defenders of Ukraine were photographed near the watermelon monument, is circulating on the Internet," Serhii Khlan said.
The deputy added that there are photos of Ukrainian soldiers at the entrance to Mykhailivka and Khreshchenivka. This means that Zolota Balka is also under the Ukrainian Armed Forces' control, and they continue to confidently advance along the banks of the Dnipro River.
The de-occupation of Zolota Balka is also reported on the National Guard - War for Peace Telegram channel.
"The liberation of the Kherson region continues. Guardsmen as part of the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to liberate Ukrainian villages from the invading Russian forces" the message reads.
This is confirmed by the Russian media.
"The enemy managed to penetrate the depth of our defense with the dominant tank units in the direction of Zolota Balka and Oleksandrivka. The units of the Russian troops occupied a defensive line prepared in advance and continued to inflict massive fire losses on the enemy," the message reads.
In addition, Dmytro Burlai, a deputy of the Novovorontsovka Council, writes that Ukraine's Armed Forces liberated the village of Mykhailivka.
"Just this morning in the village of Mykhailivka, Novoaleksandrivska community, Beryslav district," Burlai wrote.
