This is evidenced by a phone conversation between the aggressor’s units, which was intercepted by the Ukraine’s Security Service.
As is clear from the intercepted conversation, the Armed Forces of Ukraine completely defeated units of the Russian Federation Western Military District, only the ones who refused to attack remained alive.
“The Western Military District is no more, because they’re all in Russia, all the rejects. I only see the ‘Easterners’ now, because there are almost no ‘Westerners’ left. All their equipment is damaged, the tower on the tank doesn’t move, or the wheels are punctured, or something else does not work… The front lines are all volunteer forces, that’s all," - the occupant whose division is currently in the Kharkiv region tells his wife.
According to him, many officers were killed in the fights in Ukraine, there is a lack of drivers, and infantry forces are used as "cannon fodder". So the Russian army is just staying in one place without any progress.
Russia's Western Military District included, among others, Moscow, St. Petersburg, and a "military elite" trained to counter NATO forces.
