Ukrainian Security Service exposes village head who helped Russian occupiers advance on Kyiv
Village leader who helped Russians during the offensive on the capital is exposed in Kyiv region
This was reported by the press center of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
The traitor was the village head of the Ozero in the Hostomel community near Kyiv. The Ukrainian Security Service found that on February 24 last year, he guided the occupation forces on the ground and provided road routes for the advance of their columns through Hostomel and Moshchun.
Later, he accompanied the occupiers as they stormed the settlements of the Kyiv region and tried to break through to the capital.
After the occupation of part of the region, the Russian forces gave the traitor an AK-74S rifle and a white armband as an insignia. The traitor participated in patrolling settlements and "leaked" the addresses of Ukrainian patriots.
In addition, the village headman organized the thefts for the occupiers in the homes of people who had left the area and handed over municipal vehicles to the Russians.
After the village was freed, the traitor remained in the village, trying to avoid punishment. However, the Ukrainian Security Service detained the collaborator. He was served a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code (high treason). The court chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention.
