The railway company announced this on its Telegram channel.
It is noted that Ukrzaliznytsia railways made 1,100 evacuation trips from Kherson, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Sumy regions, and evacuated more than 61,000 passengers, including almost 15,000 children and people with disabilities.
In addition, the railroad workers transported nearly 4,500 wounded civilians and civilians with serious illnesses requiring special transportation conditions on medical trains.
"At the end of this year, all railroad employees have one main wish: that at the end of next year we could put the number "0" in the column "evacuated passengers". And to remove this position from the analytics for 2025, as there will be no need for it," the statement reads.
- Ukrzaliznytsia's "Train to Victory", painted by Ukrainian artists, won the European Excellence Awards: it won in the Transport and Logistics category.
