Ukrainian paratroopers show how they destroy Russian demining system
Mykolaiv paratroopers show how they have destroyed the Russian forces' demining system, which is also used for assault, in the Donetsk region.
The Airborne Assault Troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Telegram.
“In the Donetsk region, soldiers with the Ukrainian Armed Forces' 79th Detached Amphibious Assault Brigade destroyed the Russian UR-77 demining system” the post reads.
Despite the fact that the system is designed to make passages in minefields, the Russian forces have recently used it to storm Ukrainian positions, dropping 1.5 tons of explosives on them.
This time, the enemy planned to use the UR-77 precisely for the assault, but due to aerial reconnaissance, the system was spotted on the approach to the opening line of fire. The paratroopers stopped it with the help of artillery, then the UR-77 hit a mine and was finally destroyed by a drone.
