Ukrainian Navy ships pass NATO evaluation, confirming interoperability with Alliance standards
Two ships of the Ukrainian Navy have become the first since the start of the full-scale invasion to receive interoperability certification under NATO standards
The Ukrainian Navy Command reported the information.
The statement noted that the mine countermeasure ships Cherkasy and Chernihiv are the first since the start of the full-scale war to complete NATO Level 1 evaluation, confirming their interoperability with NATO procedures and standards.
"In the current security environment, this is a crucial process of integrating Ukrainian units into NATO standards, ensuring a high level of readiness and effectiveness," the statement reads.
According to the Navy Command, one of the key mechanisms of such partnership is NATO's Operational Capabilities Concept Evaluation and Feedback Programme.
The main objective is to practically assess the readiness level of partner nations' armed forces units for joint participation with NATO military formations in Alliance operations.
