Ukrainian military to undergo training in Norway

The Ukrainian military will undergo training in Norway. In particular, they will take part in training on sanitary measures, shooting, and a command and control course

DN reports this with reference to the statement of the Norwegian Defense Minister, Bjørn Arild Gram.

“The new thing is that we offer specialized training for Ukrainian soldiers in Norway, not only related to the material part. Now there will be training in sanitation, sniper shooting and a command management course. This is a big contribution that will be noticeable,” he said.

According to him, about a hundred of the first Ukrainian soldiers will arrive at the National Guard base in Trøndelag in the spring. They should stay in Norway for five to six weeks. Then they will be replaced by new Ukrainian soldiers.

Previously, Ukrainian fighters were already trained in Norway, but then they were fewer in number and they only had training on equipment provided by Norway.
