Ukrainian military correspondent, serviceman Oleksiy Chubashev killed at front
On June 10, Oleksiy Chubashev, a military correspondent and former head of the Army FM and Military Television, who defended Ukraine as part of the Armed Forces, was killed in the war.
His friend Mykhailo Makaruk and other friends announced this on the Facebook social network.
"Today my friend was killed. Oleksiy Chubashev, author and host of the coolest media project for the Ukrainian Armed Forces' support. Mega positive and professional journalist. Officer… A man who believed in his work and always achieved his goals. I will remember you as a decent smiling guy over a cup of coffee in Mariyinsky Park… And we will liberate your homeland in Zaporizhzhya," Makaruk wrote.
"The first military reality show RecruitUA. I will never forget how you came up with this idea, you were obsessed with it. First were the Special Operation Forces, then the Landing, then the Marines. You did a lot of good for the army with these projects. You lived in the army. You grew up professionally. On February 24 you chose a different path. You replaced the camera with a weapon and went to war…," wrote journalist Yana Kholodna.
Reference. Oleksiy Chubashev was a military journalist. In 2008 he entered the Ivan Bohun Kyiv Military Lyceum, in 2010 he started studying military journalism at the Military Institute of the Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University.
He has his first rotation to the area of anti-terrorist operation in 2015. In 2015, he began serving in the Central Television and Radio Studio of the Defense Ministry, was the author and host of the first in Ukraine military reality show Recruit.
On February 28, 2021, Oleksiy's second officer contract with the Armed Forces expired. He didn't continue it and was released to reserve. After his release, he developed his own projects.
On February 24, 2022, he returned to the ranks of the Armed Forces.
The deceased had a wife, daughter and son, who was born in March.
