The Minister of Foreign Affairs announced this during a telethon broadcast.
"In the UN, in Kyiv, in many capitals of the world, various events will take place that will send a very clear message to President Putin — if you are waging the war of attrition and think that time is on your side, you are deeply mistaken, because everyone stands united with Ukraine, and you will lose in this war," he said.
On February 24, new sanctions against Russia will be announced in various countries and institutions. Kuleba also emphasized that we should not expect the exclusion of Russia from the UN Security Council yet — there is a long way ahead since it requires "resetting the global institution."
"In terms of Russia in the UN Security Council, we started this journey with our Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement last year. This journey will be long because it is about resetting a global institution, but we have an outlined plan, we involve diplomats from different countries, opinion leaders, experts and scientists, and the first goal to achieve is the delegitimization of Russia in the UN Security Council," Kuleba said.
Kuleba explained that delegitimization will be relatively easy to achieve, but exclusion itself will take time.
"Believe me, even delegitimization will be a terrible international blow for Russia," the minister added.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called the exclusion of the Russian Federation from the UN Security Council one of the priorities of Ukraine's foreign policy and called on people's deputies to join forces in this direction.
