Ukrainian Joint Forces commander Nayev warns that threat level from Belarus grows
Joint Forces of Ukrainian Armed Forces lieutenant general Serhiy Nayev said that the level of military threat from Belarus is gradually increasing
This was reported by the Joint Forces Command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Facebook.
Nayev claims the second motorized infantry division of the first tank army and an aviation group, which includes the latest models of aviation of the aerospace forces of the Russian forces, are now concentrated in Belarus. There are also units armed with Iskander tactical missile systems with ballistic missiles, which are intended for use against targets in Ukraine.
"This potential is currently sufficient to threaten Ukraine and conduct tactical actions. At the same time, we closely monitor the weapons transferred from Russia and make a daily analysis. The level of military threat is gradually increasing, but we are also taking adequate measures. Also, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces provides for a significant increase in groups if there will be a significant increase in forces and means from the opposite side," Nayev said.
He added that the training of the Russian guidance aircraft and carrier aircraft of air-launched ballistic missiles "Kinzhal" in the airspace of Belarus is carried out to clarify the targets on the territory of Ukraine.
