Ukrainian intelligence lists countries with which Russia is negotiating ammunition supplies
The Russian Federation considers the countries of the African continent and the Middle East as suppliers of ammunition. But none of them is in a hurry to provide military assistance to the occupiers
Vadym Skibitskyi, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, said this during a telethon on March 16.
According to him, Iran is currently the main supplier of ammunition, but Russia is also negotiating with other countries.
"Russia has started to experience a shortage of ammunition, and we know for sure that they are actively working with Iran. Yes, they are indeed negotiating with Myanmar, with countries on the African continent, with countries in the Middle East. They have now sent their delegations to the Ministry of Defense, Foreign Intelligence Service, and other departments and ministries to get as much ammunition and other weapons as possible," Skibitskyi said.
However, many countries are afraid of being sanctioned, so they do not agree to such cooperation, the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate noted.
According to Skibitskyi, Russia is now withdrawing weapons previously provided to Syria. As for Syrian mercenaries, intelligence does not record a large number of them at the front.
- Earlier, the media reported that Iran secretly handed over 100 million rounds of ammunition and 300,000 shells to Russia.
