This was reported on the page of the Artan Special Unit of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU).

Ivan Tarn, a native of Ternopil and a soldier from Artan, together with defender Oleksandr Dashko from Kraken, became the first Ukrainians with amputations to complete a unique expedition to Everest Base Camp.

At an altitude of 5,400 meters, the soldiers raised the Artan flag.

"With this climb, I want to demonstrate at least a part of the work done by DIU special forces: we often operate in no less difficult conditions and under constant shelling. If we’re capable of handling such challenges with prosthetics, then I think people can better imagine what we do on the battlefield," the soldier said.
