Ukrainian general suggest ways to improve Ukraine’s military-political situation
Despite some successful counterattacks by Ukrainian forces near Pokrovsk, in general situation on the front requires new approaches
This was stated by Lieutenant General Ihor Romanenko, founder of the Safe Skies over Ukraine Charity Fund and former Deputy Chief of Ukraine's General Staff, on Espreso TV.
Amid the escalating military-political situation on the front lines, particularly in the Kursk region, northern Kharkiv region, and other directions, the need for critically important decisions has arisen.
According to Romanenko, three key areas must be addressed. These include ensuring an even distribution of the burden and a fair approach to forming military reserves.
"Fair mobilization must be introduced. The draft should cover citizens aged 18 to 60. Additionally, the economy needs to transition to a wartime footing, and citizens' responsibility for national defense must be strengthened. Legislation must be improved, including anti-corruption measures, to prevent abuses under martial law," he stated.
Entering the fourth year of full-scale war presents new challenges that require decisive action. While some measures may be unpopular, the objective laws of war demand them, the general added.
- A growing trend of exhaustion is evident within the Russian army, as their offensive near Pokrovsk continues to falter.
