Ukrainian forces try to break through Russian defenses on Priyutne–Staromayorske line in order to move south
Military serviceman Oleksandr Voitko noted that fierce battles are ongoing near Velyka Novosilka
He stated this on Espreso.
"I am currently in the area of Velyka Novosilka–Vuhledar. There is ongoing fighting near Velyka Novosilka, along the Priyutne–Staromayorske line. This line is important for the Russian occupiers' defense, and our units are trying to break through it. We aim to liberate these settlements so that we can continue moving south," Voitko emphasized.
He mentioned that there are also ongoing battles and counter-battery fighting near Vuhledar.
“So far, the Ukrainian Armed Forces haven't made significant advances there because the enemy has moved many troops near Vuhledar to prevent our units from advancing to Volnovakha, which is an important transportation hub for them. However, we are working on destroying enemy forces in this direction so that we can make progress in the future," Voitko noted.
