Russian army keeps trying to encircle Avdiivka, Ukrainian Armed Forces hold the line

In the area of responsibility of the North operational-strategic group, near the border with Belarus, the operational situation remains without significant changes.

In the northeastern border area, the Russian army maintains military presence, carries out active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to critical frontline areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.

In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group in the Kupyansk direction,  Ukrainian soldiers repelled over 20 Russian attacks in the areas of Synkivka and Ivanivka in Kharkiv region, as well as about 5 attacks near Nadiia in Luhansk region.

In the Lyman direction, the Defense Forces prevented the loss of positions in the area of Nevelske, Luhansk region.

In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled all Russian attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka and Khromove. The Russian invaders also tried unsuccessfully to regain lost ground near Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian defense forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut in Donetsk region, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian enemy, and consolidating their positions.

In the area of responsibility of the Tavria operational-strategic group in the Avdiivka direction, the Russian army keeps trying to encircle Avdiivka, but Ukraine's soldiers are holding the line, inflicting numerous losses on their enemy. The invaders' offensive actions in the areas of 3 settlements in the Donetsk region were unsuccessful.

In the Marinka direction, the Russian troops launched unsuccessful assault operations with the support of aviation in the areas of Marinka and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region. Here, Ukrainian soldiers repelled about 20 hostile attacks.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Ukrainian military repelled the invaders' attacks in the areas of 3 localities in the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Russian invaders carried out unsuccessful assaults near Poltavka, Zaporizhzhia region. They also tried in vain to regain lost ground near Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.

In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces are carrying out counter-battery combat, inflicting fire damage on Russia's rear.

Russia attacked Ukraine with drones and Iskanders at night

Last night, the Russian occupiers launched another missile and air strike against Ukraine, using Kh-59 guided missiles, Iskander-K cruise missiles and Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs. Information on the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified.

The Russian forces cynically launched a missile attack on a school in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. The building of the educational institution was almost completely destroyed. In total, they launched 9 missile and 39 air strikes, fired 50 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. A school, apartment and private residential buildings, as well as other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.

One settlement in Luhansk region, 9 in Donetsk region, and 6 in Kherson region were hit by air strikes

About 110 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions came under artillery fire.

Ukrainian Armed Forces hit 11 times the areas where Russian forces were concentrated

Over the past day, the aviation of the Defense Forces carried out 8 strikes on the areas of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration and 4 strikes on their anti-aircraft missile systems.

Missile units hit a control center, an ammunition depot, 3 areas of personnel, weapons and military equipment concentration, and Russia's electronic warfare station.

  • ISW reports that Russian troops regrouped and resumed their offensive near Avdiivka, Donetsk region. They have made little progress.
