The Russians have abandoned a number of positions, which has created a gray zone. Now they are trying to launch counterattacks to regain the lost positions," said Denysov.
The serviceman noted that counter-battery fighting continues in the Mariupol sector.
"Russians are conducting rotations. They bring mobilized soldiers to the positions. Speaking generally about the situation in the Melitopol sector, it is the work of artillery on both sides. There is also constant work of Russian aviation. We are currently making progress, which is caused by the need to stabilize the front line," he added.
